Easier to fit on the Ranger as the engine cover comes straight off, unlike the Everest where you have a couple of water hoses in the way, so after 5 minutes it was fitted and off for a spin. I did immediately notice a difference but not huge, so I stepped it up to the second setting which was much better so I left it there. I'm once again delighted with the results and, so is my wife it seems. She came home from the shops yesterday and asked me if I'd done something to the Ranger and when I asked why, she said it had a lot more power and was much quicker accelerating .... testament enough for the Chip Express product I think, particularly coming from someone who has no mechanical knowledge and just gets in the motor and drives. I then went on a 30 minute drive both motorway and sideroads and my average fuel consumption went UP from 33.3mpg to 38.7mpg. My motorway speed varied from 60 to 85mph and the sideroads from zero to 40mph. I am so pleased with the whole result. This is worth every single penny paid. Thank you!

This was my major bugbear with this engine and primary reason for searching for 'fixes'. Strong, much more linear power flow with the lower gears seeming to 'hold' that fraction longer - a considerably better output than standard. The whole acceleration process just feels smoother and less constrained, more like my V-6 petrol Hilux! FOLLOW UP: Dropped in on an acquaintance with the same vehicle (tho 6 months older and about 12k on the clock), he took it for a drive and immediately recognised a big difference (favourable) from his stock version - I then took his to remind myself of what my vehicle drove like only just over a week ago. I'm extremely happy with what your chip has done for the drivability of my vehicle!

I know that there will be greater fuel economy because of the superb low end pulling power which means you do not need to open the throttle as much. Very happy!

Fitted it in minutes yesterday without a hitch. Test drive revealed instantly noticeable improvements in performance, particularly torque increase. Could have left it at that and would have been more than satisfied but I decided to tweak it up a notch following the clear instructions and again this was achieved in a minute or two. Another test drive and again there was a noticeable increase in power and torque with no adverse side effects. Idle is smooth and, as you said, power is noticeably better from 1000rpm onwards, particularly between it's usual range. A gain in both kilowatts and torque is immediately obvious. Engine temperature and behaviour is perfectly normal (it's 30C plus here) and the differences are delivered smoothly and subtlety. One very happy customer!
