    My boat is a Grady White Gulfstream 205 (with twin D3 engines). With your chip’s and Stainless F7 propellers on I was able to reach 3800rpm at wide open throttle. My goal is to run my F8 props and hopefully reach 4000rpm. But as it sits now, the biggest and most impressive gain since fitting the chips was in full range acceleration. From idle and pushing water, to powered up and jumping up on plane was phenomenal. I started to apply power from just off idle (about 6 kts) right at the harbour mouth and by the time I cleared the wall and was out of the no wake zone, the boat had already jumped up on plane (without the stern drive tucked under) and was nearing 15 kts. This is within a distance of maybe 60 feet! Once up on plane the engine took off running and ran up to my half throttle setting instantly, I trimmed it out a bit and floored it, the engine rocketed up to 3600rpm then with trim and a little time it worked its way up to 3800rpm. I estimate about 37.5 knots. This is with a boat weight of roughly 4500lbs plus three adult men on board, fully rigged for open water fishing, and nearly 250lbs of ice on board! The best part is that at my normal “hunting” trolling speed of 8 knots or so, my consumption dropped nearly .5 gallons per hour, and down at the Tuna speed of 5.5 – 6 knots I was only burning .75 gph. And to top off the fun, we landed a 20lb Ono (Wahoo) without even knowing we had a strike! I just happened to look back and see the out rigger knocked down and the rod bent just a hair. Who knows how long we had been dragging him! Anyway, thanks again for your help, I love the chip, and can’t wait to turn the power up! I use the boat for wake boarding as well, so this will be a great improvement for pulling the person being towed up!
