Kia Diesel Chip Tuning Boxes

I bought a new 1.7 CRDI Sportage, not the 2ltr purely for better fuel figures. Whilst this engine pulls very well in standard form, and was returning 44-45mpg even during the first 500 miles I had to go down the CHIP Express route. Well, there is absolutely no point in forking out the extra 2 grand for the 2 litre model when you can get the 1.7 and spend much less to get 2 litre power figures. Excuse the cliché’s, but this car is transformed and by a big margin too. From what I can remember about my 2 litre test drive, my 1.7 now pulls better than the 2 litre version. The low-down grunt is remarkable and pulls like the proverbial train. Fitting took minutes and was effortless, the box was kept on factory settings, I feel there is no need to mess with it. Needless to say I am now a very happy boy and would without question take this route again. I would recommend this to any diesel Sportage owner. I have now fitted a CHIP Express tuning box and the car has been transformed. The acceleration and mid range torque is greatly improved and it now feels lively unlike before. Overtaking is much improved as is 3rd gear acceleration, which is especially useful on slip roads when joining fast moving traffic. I have yet to check the overall MPG change but so far it would seem less fuel is being used. Thanks very much!

Throttle is now much sharper the engine is smoother, the turbo seems to carry on giving stronger boost further up the rev range. I did a 10 mile round trip-before the chip, average 50.1mpg, after the chip average 56.3 mpg. I now have a smoother, faster and more economical cruiser. Thanks from a happy customer!

My upgraded box arrived today, it was fitted in the usual 5 minutes and the settings straight out the box are absolutely spot on. I think this is my fourth box and I would recommend this product to anyone, it is the number one mod for a turbo diesel. Apart from the increase in performance, improved fuel economy and driveability there is now the added advantage of buying a lower powered version of your car and then to fit the CHIP Express box for the same if not better performance then the higher powered model without the burden of the higher road tax. Before refitting I ran the car towing a caravan and town and distance runs for about two months. I have now fitted the chip and once again the car is transformed. When towing I used to have to gear change twice on small inclines, now I dont have to change gear at all, the car just pulls away on hills. The fuel average is considerably more, the engine runs smoother and the performance is like having a 2ltr. Thanks to your staff for sorting me out!

Prior to this I removed the chip for a service and the economy dropped down considerably, it also reminded me how poor on economy (and take off) the car was without tuning. The standard program gave a definite increase in smooth torque delivery and power but on the higher settings the car has been utterly transformed. I have every reason to attest to the published performance improvements. The vehicle feels like a V8 now! An effortless surging wave of torque and power throughout the rev range with no increase in fuel consumption. My wife absolutely loves it and will not even consider going back to stock mapping. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Less than 5 minutes to install, incredible performance increases with no increase in fuel consumption - you'd be crazy not to get this for your Kia. But straight away noticed more power when taking off and much smoother gear changes on the auto. It has also smoothed out my downshifts when slowing down (the main reason I wanted it). The Kia was a little sluggish and the 1st gear to 2nd gear change was a little harsh, now this has made the car just awesome. Have kept it on standard settings and am very happy with the gear change improvement and power improvement. Thanks guys!
